iPay signs an agreement with a2i

iPay Systems Limited  and a2i –Access to Information signed a preliminary agreement. The agreement was signed at Sher-E- Bangla Nagar, Agargaon, Dhaka at the ICT division on November 19, 2018.Through this agreement, paying utility bills will be convenient and easier for residents all over Bangladesh. As a result of this agreement, iPay members can use their accounts to easily pay utility bills cashless with no worries.

The company representatives during the signing ceremony included iPay Systems Limited Advisor Mohammed Nurul Amin, Head of Business & Strategy Muhammad Abul Khair Chowdhury, Head of Stakeholder Management Noman Reza, Head of Merchants Raihan Faiz Osmani and ICT Division representative Zuyena Aziz and a2i Project Director for the ICT division Mostafizur Rahman were also present.

a2i Project Director Mostafizur Rahman said, ‘Because of this agreement, the bill issuers will be able to regulate their bills digitally. He also expressed with optimism that the plan could be launched very soon by end of December. ‘The system will save time and finances of the citizens, said the chief guest and the ICT department secretary Zuyena Aziz. Head of Business and Strategy Muhammad Abul Khair Chowdhury of iPay shared ‘ iPay is extremely proud to be associated with the vision and process of digitalization by the government in order to simplify life’

iPay systems limited is the first digital service wallet provider in Bangladesh. The company received license from the Bangladesh Bank to operate as a Payment Service Provider (PSP). The app allows users to pay their bills, send money to their designated bank accounts, add money to their iPay wallet from their bank accounts, send money to their friends and family members and also top-up mobile bill.
