iPay Systems Ltd signs a strategic agreement with Lanka Bangla Ltd

Lanka Bangla Limited has signed a strategic agreement with iPay Systems Limited. This unique partnership is set to unleash a fresh wave of enthusiasm in the rapidly growing digital economy of the country. The agreement was signed by Founder & CEO of iPay Systems Limited, Zakaria Swapan and Lanka Bangla MD & CEO Khaja Shahriar on behalf of their respective organizations. The agreement enhances the opportunity of Lanka Bangla users to pay their credit card bills and make DPS payments through iPay.

iPay’s Advisor Mohammad Nurul Amin, Head of Business & Strategy, Muhammad Abul Khair Chowdhury, Head of Communication and Media, Muhammad Muntasir, Head of Merhcants, Raihan Faiz Osmani and Strategic Business Development and Partnership Manager, Jamil Uddin Bhuiyan were also present at the event. From the Lanka Bangla end, Senior Vice President and Head of Operations A.K.M. iPay systems limited is the first digital service wallet provider in Bangladesh. The company received license from the Bangladesh Bank to operate as a Payment Service Provider (PSP). The app allows users to pay their bills, send money to their designated bank accounts, add money to their iPay wallet from their bank accounts, send money to their friends and family members and also top-up mobile bill. Anyone can easily download the app from AppStore or Play Store. Once downloaded, the users will need to sign-up for the service, which will be followed by a verification process, before the user can start using the app for making digital payments.

To sign-up in iPay, members need to provide general information like name, and mobile number and also set password. Then for account verification members need to upload their photo, National ID Card/Passport/Driving License. Then lastly to ensure source of fund, members need to add money to their e-wallet by adding either their bank account or Credit/Debit Card.
