EBL(Eastern Bank Ltd) inks deal with iPay Systems Ltd

EBL(Eastern Bank Ltd.) has signed a strategic agreement with iPay on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at EBL Head Office located in Gulshan. The agreement was signed by EBL Head of Retail Banking, Mr. M. Khorshed Anowar and Founder & CEO of iPay, Mr. Zakaria Swapan.

Under this agreement, customers of iPay will be able to pay online using any VISA and Mastercard through EBL SKYPAY Payment Gateway.

Representatives of EBL that were present during the signing included Head of M-Commerce,Faisal M. Fathe-Ul Islam, Managers Sartaz Fattah and Mehnaz Murshed and Associate Manager, Md. Mashrur Rahman

iPay Systems Limited representatives during the signing included Advisor Mr. Nurul Amin, Head of Business & Strategy, Mr. Abul Khair Chowdhury, Head of Communications, Mr. Muhammad Muntasir, Head of Strategic Partnerhsip, Mr. Jamil Uddin Bhuiyan and Technical Lead, Mohsin Khan.

iPay is the first free online payment platform in Bangladesh with a Payment Service Provider (PSP) license issued by Bangladesh Bank. iPay caters to both individuals and businesses with two types of user accounts. It facilitates cashless transactions free of cost anywhere, anytime. Users can easily download the free app from Apple Store or Google Play Store to sign-up and then get verified to start making cashless transactions.

Moreover, users can pay bills online, add money to their iPay wallet free of cost, send or request money to their friends and family and also top-up mobile phones instantly in real time.
