1. How do I Sign up for iPay?

You can sign up for iPay in 3 simple steps:

For personal accounts, please follow the below steps:

  1. Go to ipay.com.bd and select your preferred account type
  2. Enter basic account information
    • (a) Login Information: Your mobile number and password
    • (b) Personal Information: Full name, Date of Birth
    • Verify the captcha then click on ‘Continue’ to proceed to the final step of Signup.
  3. An authentication code will be messaged to your phone number. Enter the authentication code in the box and click on ‘Create Account‘ button.

Congrats! Your iPay account is created.

For business accounts, please follow the below steps:

  1. Go to ipay.com.bd and select “Sign Up for Business Account”
  2. Enter information of business and business contact person:
    • (a) Login Information: The mobile number and password for your business account
    • (b)Click on “I agree to the Terms & Condition and Privacy Policy”
    • (c) Business Information: Business Name, Business Type, Business Address
    • (d) Business Contact Information: Name, Date of Birth, and personal address of business contact person.
    • Verify the captcha then click on ‘Continue’ to proceed to the final step of Signup.
  3. An authentication code will be messaged to your phone number. Enter the authentication code in the box and click on ‘Create Account‘ button.

Congrats! Your iPay account is created.

2. Which account type should I choose?

As of today, iPay supports two types of Accounts:

  • (a) Personal Account: if you want to make personal transaction or buy goods or services for yourself.
  • (b) Business Account: if you are a registered business entity who want to maintain business transactions and receive payment from customers through iPay.
3. Can I change account type?

No, you can not change account type after you have created your account.

4. Can I make both type of account with one mobile number?

No, you need to have a separate mobile number for each account you create in iPay Systems.

5. How do I add people to my iPay contact?

In order to add new people to your iPay contact, you may follow the given steps:

  1. Click on the ‘Contact’ icon beside your profile picture in header of your logged in iPay page, then click ‘Contacts’ in the dropdown menu.
  2. Click on ‘Add Contact’ button at the top of Contacts page
  3. A pop-up window will appear. Type the contact name, phone number and your relation with the person you want to add then click ‘Save Contact’ to add the person to your iPay contact

Note: When you send or request money to any iPay member not present in your contacts, you may easily add them to your iPay contact by clicking on ‘Add’ button beside the person’s name in the transaction page

6. How do I invite people to iPay?

In order to invite new people to iPay network, you may follow the given steps:

  1. Click on the ‘Contact’ icon beside your profile picture in header of your logged in iPay page, then click ‘Invite Friends’ in the dropdown menu.
  2. Click on ‘Invite New Friends’ button at the top of Invite Friends page
  3. A pop-up window will appear. Type the name, phone number and your relation with the person you want to add then click ‘Save Contact’ to invite the person to iPay network

Note: The list of people in your contact who does not yet have an iPay account will be shown in the ‘Invite Friends’ page. You may click on the menu button at the right side of the Contact’s name then click on ‘Invite to iPay’ for sending iPay invitation request to them. When you invite your contact to iPay, you may choose whether you want to be his/her introducer.

7. I do not remember my password. What should I do?

Please visit ipay.com.bd and click on “Log In” icon, you will be directed to the next page. Then click on “Forget password?” to reset your password and provide the required Information:

  • Mobile number
  • Full name
  • Date of Birth
  • Answer to Security question 1 (If you already have set it)
  • Answer to Security question 2 (If you already have set it)
  • Verify the reCaptcha by clicking “I am not a robot”

Then, click on “Reset Password”. Authentication code will be sent to your mobile number and to your trusted contact person (if you have added anyone as trusted person). Insert the authentication codes in the next page and then reset your password. 

Note: If you cannot recall the information required for retrieving the password, you may mail to [email protected] or interact via live chat. Our support team will send a password reset link to the primary email address set in you iPay account. You may reset the password by clicking on the link.

8. How do I send money?

Place your mouse pointer over ‘Wallet‘ in menu bar at the top of your logged in iPay page then click on ‘Send Money‘. You will be directed to the ‘Send Money‘ page.

  1. Enter the phone number of the person you want to send money to
  2. Enter the amount of money you want to send
  3. Enter a note stating details or purpose for sending money and click ‘Continue‘ button
  4. Double check the details of your send money request from the pop up screen
  5. Enter your PIN and click ‘Confirm‘ to process your Send Money request.
9. Where can I see my previous Send Money history?

You may follow the given steps to see Send Money history:

  1. Place the mouse pointer over your profile picture in top right corner; A drop-down list will appear.
  2. Click on ‘Transaction History‘ from the drop-down list. A list of all your transactions will appear
  3. Click on the left most box ‘All‘. A drop-down list of several services will appear
  4. Click on ‘Send Money
  5. Click on ‘Filter‘ button. You will see list of your previous ‘Send Money‘ requests.

Special Note: If you want to look up ‘Send Money‘ requests for a specific time frame, select the date range from the date filter then click on ‘Filter‘ button.

10. How do I request for money from my friends?

Place your mouse pointer over ‘Wallet‘ in menu bar at the top of your logged in iPay page then click on ‘Request Money‘. You will be directed to the ‘Request Money‘ page.

  1. Enter the phone number of the person you want to request money from
  2. Enter the amount of money you want to request
  3. Enter a note stating details or purpose for requesting money
  4. Click ‘Continue‘ button
  5. Double check the details of your request for money from the pop up screen
  6. Click ‘Confirm‘ to send your Request for Money.
11. How do I add money to my iPay Account from my bank?

Place your mouse pointer over ‘Wallet‘ in menu bar at the top of your logged in iPay page then click on ‘Add Money‘ link. You will be directed to the ‘Add Money‘ page. Fill in the mandatory fields then click on ‘Continue‘ button to add money to your iPay account from your linked bank.

12. How long does it take for balance to increase in my account after I add money?

It usually takes 3-5 business days for bank to process the transfer of money. We will notify you as soon as the money is added to your iPay account.

13. I do not see any bank. How can I add money?

In order to add money, you will first need to add a bank account to your iPay profile. Add and verify your bank account and then you can select your bank for adding money.

14. How can I take the money from my iPay account as cash?

You can cash your iPay balance with Withdraw Money service. Withdraw Money transfers you iPay balance to your linked bank account from where you may collect the cash. 
Place your mouse pointer over ‘Wallet‘ in menu bar at the top of your logged in iPay page then click on ‘Withdraw Money‘ link. You will be directed to the ‘Withdraw Money‘ page. Fill in the mandatory fields then click on ‘Continue‘ button. Confirm your request by entering the PIN by reviewing the transaction details. The requested balance will be transferred to your selected account within 3-5 business day.

15. How do I add my Bank Account to my iPay Account?

In order to add a bank account to iPay, your iPay account must be verified. Verified iPay members may follow the following steps to add a new bank account:

  1. Place the mouse pointer over your profile picture in top right corner; A drop-down list will appear
  2. Click on Account and Setting. You will be directed to the account settings page.
  3. Click on ‘Link Bank” in Settings box at the left
  4. You will see an ‘Add Bank Account‘ button in top right corner of your Link Bank page. Click on it
  5. YYou’ll be redirected to the ‘Add Bank Account‘ page. Enter the required information in the page and click on ‘Save‘.
  6. Confirm the details of the account you want to link after reviewing the information in ‘Bank Verification’ pop-up.
  7. Once your bank appears under ‘My Bank Accounts‘, click on verify. It will send a token amount to your bank account for verification purpose.
16. When can I transfer money to and from my Bank Account?

You can transfer money to your linked bank account after you have verified it.

17. How do I verify my Bank Account?

Before you proceed with the bank verification process, you will need to know the token verification amount that iPay had sent to your Bank Account. Ask for the exact value of verification amount from your bank and note it down. Then follow the given steps to verify your account:

  1. Place the mouse pointer over your profile picture in top right corner; A drop-down list will appear.
  2. Click on Account and Setting. You will be directed to the account settings page.
  3. Click on ‘Link Bank” in Settings box at the left
  4. Click on ‘View Details‘ beside the bank that you want to verify. The detailed information about the bank will be shown
  5. Click on the ‘Verify Bank ‘ button at the end of the box. A ‘Confirm Bank Verification‘ pop up window will appear.
  6. Enter the exact token amount and click on ‘Submit‘ button.

Congrats! Your bank account is verified. You can now transfer money between your iPay account and Bank account.

18. How can I recharge a mobile from my iPay account?

If you are a verified iPay member, you may recharge any mobile number from your iPay account but if you have a trial account, you may only recharge mobile number that you registered in iPay with.

  1. Click on ‘Mobile Top Up‘ link at the top of your logged in iPay page. You will be directed to the ‘Mobile Top Up‘ page.
  2. Enter the mobile number, type and the amount. The Mobile Number is preset in the page for members with trial account.
  3. Click on ‘Continue‘ button.
  4. Confirm by reviewing the details and providing your PIN.
19. When will my profile be verified?

Your profile will be verified by iPay when you update your personal information, address, link bank information and are introduced by at least 2 verified iPay users. 

Your profile will be verified by iPay when you update your iPay profile with all the required information. Generally, members will need to provide the information required in their profile, provide identification document and be introduced by 2 verified iPay member. The verification requirement for personal and business account is different. 

Personal Account: Personal member needs to complete the following section of their profile in order to be verified:

  1. Profile Picture: Clear profile picture where face is identifiable
  2. Basic Information: Full Name, Date of Birth, Occupation, Organization
  3. Family Information: Father’s and Mother’s Name
  4. Address: Present and Permanent address
  5. Identification Document: Scanned or clear image of NID/Passport/Driving License.
  6. Source of Fund

Business Account: Business member needs to provide information about the business and business contact person for being verified. Details are given below:

  1. Profile Image: Clear profile image where the logo is identifiable
  2. Business Information: Business Name, Business Type, Mobile Number
  3. Business Contact Information: Name and Date of Birth of business contact, Occupation, Organization name
  4. Business Address: The address of the business
  5. Contact Address: The address of the business contact person
  6. Identification Documents: Several Identification documents are needed for business account verification:
    1. Trade License
    2. Business TIN
    3. Merchant Acquisition Form
    4. NID/Passport/Driving License of Business Contact person
  7. Introducer: Must be introduced by iPay Merchant Acquisition team and Merchant team lead.
  8. Source of Fund
  9. Completed Bank Consent Form
20. What is the PIN that I need to give?

You need to set a secret PIN from the ‘Security‘ page of Account Settings option. You will need to provide this PIN whenever you make any transaction through iPay for ensuring your security.

21. Where do I set the PIN?

Follow the following steps to set PIN for your account:

  1. Place the mouse pointer over your profile picture in top right corner; A drop-down list will appear.
  2. Click on Account and Setting. You will be directed to the account settings page.
  3. Click on ‘Security‘ in Settings box at the left panel
  4. Click on ‘Add‘ button beside PIN
  5. Enter your current password and new PIN to update your PIN
22. Why do I have to add password recovery number

Adding Trusted Contact for password recovery increases a layer of security in your iPay account.

In case you lose access to your iPay account, different password recovery codes will be messaged to you and the selected contact, whom you added in password recovery section of security page. You’ll need to provide these security codes to gain back access to your iPay account.

Note: If you have not added any trusted contact, you will only need to verify by providing the password security code sent to your phone.

23. I do not want to enter authentication code each time I log in to iPay. How can I remove this option?

You can make your device trusted to skip providing authentication code for each time you log in. The next time you log in from your regular device and browser, you’ll notice a box title ‘Trusted Device‘ at the top of your iPay page. Click on ‘YES!‘ button below ‘Do you want to make this your trusted browser?‘ to add it to your trusted device list. Once it is added to the list, you’ll not need to provide 2 step verification with authentication code from that device.

24. How do I remove trusted device from my account?

Is your phone stolen? Have you switched to a new personal computer? Remove the old browser and devices from your iPay account by following the given steps:

  1. Place the mouse pointer over your profile picture in top right corner; A drop-down list will appear.
  2. Click on Account and Setting. You will be directed to the account settings page.
  3. Click on ‘Security‘ in Settings box from the left panel
  4. Click the ‘Remove‘ button beside the browser or device you want to make untrusted.
  5. Review the details of the device and ‘Confirm‘ to complete your trusted device removal.
25. What is an introducer? Whom will I ask for introduction?

Introducer is any verified iPay member who knows you in person and verifies you as an authentic person. The person to whom you send introduction request will see your profile information and basic information so that they can identify you for introduction.

26. Who should I verify/introduce in iPay?

Verify the people whom you know and are confident that they will not be engaged in any any fraudulent activity.

27. I do not know any iPay Account user. How can I find an introducer?

You may add the contacts in your phone list to iPay contacts and check whether anyone is an iPay account user. You may download the iPay application in your phone and sync the phone list with iPay contacts to check if any of your contacts have a verified iPay account. If anyone from your phone list are using iPay, they will appear under iPay list and you may ‘Ask for Introduction’ from any two of your verified iPay contacts.

28. How can I make payment through iPay?

You can make payment for your purchases from your iPay balance.

  1. Click on ‘Make Payment‘ from the header of your logged in iPay page
  2. Insert iPay member’s number to whom you want to send payment
  3. Insert the amount and a small note on your payment
  4. Click ‘Continue
  5. Review details and confirm by providing your PIN
29. How can I receive payment from my clients through iPay?

Business members can request payment from clients through iPay if they (clients) have an iPay account by sending simplified payment request

30. What can I do with Request Payment?

Request Payment is the feature that allows business user to send concise payment request to their client. Request for payment can be sent by following the given steps:

  1. Click on ‘Request Payment‘ from the header of your logged in iPay page
  2. Insert iPay member’s number from whom you want to request payment
  3. Insert the amount and a small note on your payment
  4. Click ‘Continue
  5. Review details and click on ‘Confirm‘ to send the payment request
31. What should I do if there is any error or internet disruption in the middle of the bill payment process?

In this scenario, please refresh the page and restart the process again. You may also contact with iPay customer care at 16542 and +8809638900801 or email : [email protected] or interact via live chat for further assistance.

32. What should I do if I cannot complete the payment process?

The payment will only be processed when you confirm your payment by providing your PIN number. If you could not complete the payment process for any disruption, please start the process again and complete it by providing your iPay PIN.

33. What shall I do if I do not get any Confirmation Notification after any transaction?

34. What can i do for any dispute resolution?

In case any dispute arises, please inform iPay immediately. iPay team will address your concern and provide you with a neutral and cost effective mean of settling the dispute quickly.

35. What is 2FA?

2FA stands for two-factor authentication which is a way of adding additional security on an account. Usually the first “factor” is user’s PIN that is standard for any account, the second is a code retrieved from an mobile device.

In our iPay application, 2FA is required for performing some transactional services. The first form of authentication is – PIN (Personal Identification Number) set by member at the time of account creation and the second form of authentication is OTP (One Time Password), a random number sent to member’s mobile device.
